Low carb or mo’ carb?

I was reading the back of my manicotti box, and I had to laugh when I got to the single line printed at the bottom – a desperate attempt not to sound desperate, but instead to nonchalantly steer people away from the low-carb diet, which could be the death of the pasta-making industry.

“Weight-loss diets that eliminate whole categories of foods can be detrimental to your health over the long term.”

Wife of one, mother of four, friend of many. Lover of details, color, good conversations, finding balance, and being honest. Passionate lover of a well-crafted sentence - even more so if it's witty. Weird blend of cynical optimist. I'm the worst kind of woman. I'm high maintenance, but I think I'm low maintenance. Somehow, people still love me. Must be grace.

I’ve decided that I do like wordpress for this one reason: I can always look on the sidebar and see if there are any comments I’ve missed on a post somewhere. It may make up for the fact that your extra pages don’t show up on my RSS feed. 🙂

Um, and what this comment has to do with pasta, I’m not quite sure… I’m just hijacking your post for my own insidious purposes.
