a simple recipe

Here’s what Roger and I had for supper Saturday night. (And the kids enjoyed their ramen noodles very much!) It was so yummy that I had to write it down in case someone else needs a little inspiration. This is kind of vague, proportion-it-yourself…..

If I called this Creamy Green Pasta, would that tantalize anyone?
How about Creamy Pesto & ArtichokeĀ  Pasta….
….or…..

Presto Pesto Pasta

cooked pasta of your choice
1 jar alfredo sauce
1 jar of pesto
1 can artichoke hearts

Stir in enough alfredo sauce to make your noodles moist and creamy, then enough pesto to make the concoction yummily green. Add as many artichokes as you can happily handle, heat a little in the microwave and…. enjoy! We ate this with cooked broccoli and leftover garlic breadsticks. I’d recommend fresh breadsticks, but the broccoli was a nice side-dish.

If I had some nice tender little pieces of chicken breast, I would have thrown them in too, and if I was trying harder to imitate Johnny Carino’s, I would have added some sundried tomatoes and fresh green onions, and….. something to make it spicy. But it was really tasty just the way we had it.
