-how fitting-

This afternoon Roger went over to help Doug and Eula move a cattle trailer, and stayed to talk to them for awhile. Remember Doug and Eula from the post a couple of days ago? The ones who took their wedding pictures along to a funeral?

When Roger came home, he handed me a program from a funeral with a Wisconsin phone number scrawled across the back of it and the name “Bert” written above it.

I guess my husband doesn’t feel too threatened.

About ruthie.voth

Wife of one, mother of four, friend of many. Lover of details, color, good conversations, finding balance, and being honest. Passionate lover of a well-crafted sentence - even more so if it's witty. Weird blend of cynical optimist. I'm the worst kind of woman. I'm high maintenance, but I think I'm low maintenance. Somehow, people still love me. Must be grace.

Since everything Bert said about you is true, your husband has no reason to feel threatened.

It’s more of a compliment coming from someone who actually knows me. I did think it was kind of funny that he would say something about me being a good wife (I think he even used the word loyal) and then try to give me his phone number.
