Recently my friend Sarah asked a question on her blog: “Can you help me out by listing your MUST HAVE TO SURVIVE BABY item?” I thought about it for awhile, and read the comment section with people’s suggestions of strollers, boppies, swings and slings, but I couldn’t think of anything really special to add as my two cents.
It came to me last night – Robeez shoes. My sister-in-law bought a pair of these for Malin when she was a baby, and I felt that I’d be forever grateful. They’re (in my opinion) pretty pricey for infant footwear, but if you choose something neutral, you’ll only need one pair. Malin had a plain cream-colored pair, and we chose pink dragonflies for Avery, since they matched practically every little-girl outfit in her closet.
Out of all the baby shoes we’ve ever owned, Robeez were the easiest to put on and keep on. If you’re frustrated that your baby is constantly kicking off his/her shoes, try these! The elastic around the ankle does the trick. They’re perfect with socks or without. The soft soles are great for babies learning to walk – almost as good as bare feet. They’re cute, not restricting, and absolutely loveable.
There’s a downside to every good thing in life, right? With Robeez, it would be looking at all of the adorable shoe designs on the website and having to pick just one! (Especially if you’re buying for a little girl – so cute!)
So… to those of you expecting babies…. pass this website on to the people who want to spend money on your child. Robeez shoes are worth every penny you’ll pay for them.
And that’s my 2 cents, Sarah.
